You know those moments when it seems like the world is falling apart and you feel helpless to fix it? For the longest time I focused on cleaning up "my own little corner of the world" as a way to cope with feeling helpless, and for the longest time it felt like enough. But then an idea started to form. "What if...?" What if there was a way to reach a few more people that I may not have access to in my corner?
With a compassionate heart, creative spirit, and years of training and experience, I sought to create and offer help that's accessible to all.
Let's face it... therapy is expensive. My aim is to provide affordable, practical, no-nonsense skills and education to the broader community outside of the therapeutic setting.
There is more to come, so I hope you'll stick around!
Life can be overwhelming, complicated, and expensive; coping with life doesn't have to be.
You Will Be Okay is a compilation of effective, practical coping skills (and the scientific rationale behind them) that requires nothing other than your mind and body and can be completed in 5 minutes or less. This makes it ideal for busy people, parents, students, employees in high-stress environments with barely enough time for a bathroom break, or anyone struggling to regulate their emotions.
Grounded in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, and EMDR, these skills aim to reduce emotional distress by regulating the nervous system and improve the structure and function of the brain.
Affordable, accessible, and approachable, You Will Be Okay provides tools that are often unavailable to those who cannot afford therapy or do not know where to begin on their journey to wellness.
"As a counselor, I wish I'd had this book years ago. It's a terrific resource..."

Who I am as a counselor:
I specialize in working with adolescents, trauma, and substance use. Anyone who knows me would agree that I am passionate (some might say "intense," but let's go with passionate, okay?), about mental health and therapy. I am also passionate about reading and learning, and I am excited to now experience the other side through writing and educating. Emotional education is for everyone and it is never too late to learn.
